Dog Breeding & Procurement

The IDA breeding program strives to develop dogs that are ideally suited for working dogs either being for detection or other canine responses. They are bred and cared for in state of the art facilities until they are approximately 12 weeks old. The puppies are then socialised and raised by “Foster Families” for approximately 8 months.

IDA also recruits suitable working dogs from animal shelters, dog pounds and people with unwanted pets.
